Unpaid leave

Notify us of a period of unpaid leave directly via the Connect online portal. The information must be provided to us before any unpaid leave has started.

Good to know

  • If unpaid leave lasts longer than one month, the occupational benefits can be continued during the entire period of unpaid leave for a maximum of two years.

  • Your employees can choose whether to continue making all contributions, make no contributions or only make the risk contributions during the period of unpaid leave.

  • The savings capital will continue to accrue interest throughout the period of unpaid leave.

  • The funding of unpaid leave is regulated in your company’s occupational benefits plan.

  • If your employees do not make any more contributions to their occupational benefits during the period of unpaid leave, the insurance cover will end one month after the last payment of contributions (subsequent coverage period).
