Departure
If your employment relationship with your current employer ends, this will also trigger your departure from the GEMINI Collective Foundation.
As soon as we are notified of your departure by your employer, we will send you the following documents:
“Departure” form: you can use this form to indicate where we should transfer your vested benefits, consisting of your savings capital.
Provisional departure statement as of your date of departure. Your savings capital will continue to accrue interest until the payment date.
What happens to my vested benefits?
If you are changing jobs: in this case, we will transfer your vested benefits to your new employee benefits institution.
If you are not going straight back into employment: if you are not starting a new job for the foreseeable future, we will transfer your vested benefits to a vested benefits account.
If you are taking up self-employment or emigrating or if you have a low amount of vested benefits: if you are going self-employed, if you are leaving Switzerland or if the total amount of your vested benefit is less than your annual contribution to the pension fund, you can have your vested benefits paid out in cash.
Good to know
If we do not receive any information regarding the transfer of your vested benefits within six months of your departure, we will transfer them to the Substitute Occupational Benefit Institution.
If you do not go straight back into employment, you will remain insured for the risks of death and disability for a maximum period of one month.
What you need to do next
