    At GEMINI, each employee benefits unit is managed separately – with its own coverage ratio, balance sheet and income statement with accompanying notes – creating transparency and promoting co-determination.

  • Like having your own pension fund

    Your customers retain control while simultaneously transferring responsibility and administrative tasks to GEMINI.

  • Co-determination

    Every employee benefits unit has a voice – for example, in determining the interest rate and the investment strategy.

  • Flexible investments

    Your customers can choose between four investment pools: 0, 25, 35 and 50. They can also implement their own investment strategy starting from CHF 10 million.

    The occupational benefits plans can be individually tailored to meet the needs of every company.

FAQ – straightforward answers

  • What is the difference between a community foundation and a collective foundation?

    Community institutions manage all affiliations within an employee benefits unit with a consolidated coverage ratio. In a collective foundation like GEMINI, each company has its own employee benefits unit with its own coverage ratio, balance sheet, income statement and decision-making powers.

  • Under what conditions can I change the pool strategy?

    Open

    The four investment pools can be changed or combined twice a year. You can make one change on 1 January and a second during the year, provided that sufficient value fluctuation reserves are available.

  • What do I need to bear in mind when considering an individual investment strategy?

    If you have pension assets of CHF 10 million or more, you have the option to determine your own investment strategy and choose your own asset manager, provided they are recognised by FINMA. The investments can be held at other banks, but for administrative reasons, the custodian bank is UBS. Property transfers are also possible.

  • I would like to work with GEMINI: How does the process work?

    Our partnership begins as soon as a customer arrives at GEMINI or joins the Foundation through you. We’ll then conclude the cooperation agreement with you. Even if you don’t have any active customers, we’ll stay in touch and invite you to events.

  • How does GEMINI support me as a broker?

    Open

    Our Sales team is on hand to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have – personal, no fuss and dedicated.

  • What documents do I need to submit to get a quote?

    Open

    We need at least the following information about the members: date of birth, gender, marital status, salary, degree of employment, retirement savings (BVG), desired calculation date, occupational benefits plan. The data can be anonymised. GEMINI guarantees that the data will be handled with care in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act, as amended.

  • Who can be accepted?

    Open

    All members capable of work. For very high insured amounts at risk, a health check may be required.

  • How quickly will I receive a quote?

    Open

    Usually within ten working days.

  • What pension models does GEMINI offer?

    Open

    We offer two models: pensioners can stay in their own employee benefits unit or be integrated into the employee benefits unit Pension 1, provided that this does not worsen the overall portfolio for all pensioners. At present, this figure is less than 13%.

  • What financing models are available?

    Open

    We offer two models. Gross: you are entitled to risk surpluses provided there is a low claims rate. Net: there is no entitlement to risk surpluses, but in return, you get a slightly lower risk premium.

  • How can I request access to the portal?

    There is currently no dedicated portal for brokers. However, if your customer is affiliated with GEMINI, they can provide you with access to the employer portal. Please contact your customer directly.
