Sustainability in our investments
We incorporate sustainability into all our investment and decision-making processes.
Sustainability is important to us
For the GEMINI Collective Foundation, sustainable investing is a continuous, long-term process. We incorporate internationally recognised ESG criteria for environmental, social and governance factors in all our investment and decision-making processes. We regularly review and improve our sustainability approaches.
Sustainability principles at GEMINI
We align ourselves with the recommendations of the Swiss Association for Responsible Investments (SVVK-ASIR) and put these into practice.
We do not invest in companies that violate the Ottawa or Oslo Conventions, which prohibit, among other things, anti-personnel mines, cluster munitions and nuclear weapons.
Manufacturers of controversial weapons are excluded from equity investments in emerging markets.
In global equity investments, we focus on the MSCI World ex Switzerland ESG Universal Index, which systematically integrates sustainability criteria.
When selecting asset managers, we integrate sustainability criteria provided that these do not adversely affect pension provision targets.
GEMINI is a member of Ethos Engagement Pool Switzerland and International.
We measure ourselves against the reporting standards of the Swiss Pension Fund Association.
Exercising voting rights
We place great importance on transparency, which is why we publish our voting reports to show you exactly how we voted at our shareholder meetings. You can download the reports for the last few quarters here.
