We incorporate sustainability into all our investment and decision-making processes.

Sustainability is important to us

For the GEMINI Collective Foundation, sustainable investing is a continuous, long-term process. We incorporate internationally recognised ESG criteria for environmental, social and governance factors in all our investment and decision-making processes. We regularly review and improve our sustainability approaches.

Sustainability principles at GEMINI

  • We align ourselves with the recommendations of the Swiss Association for Responsible Investments (SVVK-ASIR) and put these into practice.

  • We do not invest in companies that violate the Ottawa or Oslo Conventions, which prohibit, among other things, anti-personnel mines, cluster munitions and nuclear weapons.

  • Manufacturers of controversial weapons are excluded from equity investments in emerging markets.

  • In global equity investments, we focus on the MSCI World ex Switzerland ESG Universal Index, which systematically integrates sustainability criteria.

  • When selecting asset managers, we integrate sustainability criteria provided that these do not adversely affect pension provision targets.

  • GEMINI is a member of Ethos Engagement Pool Switzerland and International.

  • We measure ourselves against the reporting standards of the Swiss Pension Fund Association.
